Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club

Rosie is a sweet 4 1/2 year old female Blenheim.  She originally came from Kansas and eventually moved to CA.  She never fit in with her family.  She lived neglected, crouching in the darkness, isolated from the sunshine of love and play, under a bush in the back yard.  Rosie suffered from pyometra and has since been spayed.  She has been suffering with irritated eyes, an infected ear and severe gingivitis.  Her gums were so bad the roots on both side of her mouth were bloody and showing.  She was also diagnosed with two luxating patella.  She has a limp and you can see she must be in pain.

Because she’s been neglected, both socially and medically, Rosie is overly timid and shies away from human contact. Her world wasn’t what it should have been. It was filled with pain and loneliness but we’re trying to make a difference. Fortunately her owner decided that she could no longer care for her and gave her up to our rescue.  Since Rosie has come to us, she’s had a complete examination, a dental exam and a subsequent procedure that left her with seven less teeth and a lot less pain but also used up much of our financial resources.  Now she’s in need of the first surgery on her right patella and we just don’t have the funds, so we’re reaching out to you. We know that this little girl will flourish if she’s given the love she desires and the medical attention she deserves and if she can live her life with less pain.  Each patella surgery will cost nearly $2,000 each.  She needs one surgery right away and will need a second in the future.  We need your help. Rosie can become the sweet little flower that we all hope she will be if she can have this surgery.  Won’t you please consider what you might do to make a difference in Rosie’s life today?
